A New "Phaze" for Daisy Glaze!
Exciting announcement about this site and new consulting services now available in the Greater Dallas-Fort Worth area.
I started this Daisy Glaze site a few moons ago as a place for some of my articles and opinion pieces that were getting too long for my Facebook page posts. I had the feeling this would morph into something with higher importance.
And here we are!
I’m thrilled to announce that I have launched Daisy Glaze Consulting, which I envision as a concierge service in Greater Dallas-Fort Worth for marketing and communications - my expertise for over three decades. I’ve seen a few things in my journey!
As a cub newspaper journalist, I remember covering a Flower Mound Town Council meeting that went on for eight hours until 2 in the morning. And I still had to meet the next morning’s deadline!
Not long after I joined Texas Instruments as a corporate communicator in 1996, our beloved CEO Jerry Junkins unexpectedly passed away while on overseas business. I immediately learned what crisis communication was all about.
As communications director for Ennis ISD, long before Covid, we experienced a health emergency via a tuberculosis outbreak at the high school. I quickly learned NOT to surrender your narrative to state health officials who struggled in a town hall meeting to connect with concerned and scared parents. Lesson learned.
And in my most recent assignment, I served in several roles as a marketing and communications director during the transition from a multiple-college system to the single Dallas College. It was all the more difficult because it occurred at the same time as the pandemic. Timing is everything.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of my experiences over three-plus decades. I can assure you that I’ve seen it all, which is helpful in today’s environment when the daily news brings more uncertainty and ambiguity than ever before.
Daisy Glaze is intended to leverage all of that experience and knowledge for the benefit of you - small businesses, corporate clients, nonprofits and event planners and venues, just to name a few.
